Selecting Students

Clicking on the “Students” tab on the left will bring you to the student selection page.

To search for a student, in the input box titled “Search by student” enter the name of the student. The list will change as you type.

To select a student, just click on the little box to the left of the student’s name. To select all results in the list that you see, click the “Select All” button. This will select all students that you are currently showing. The number of selected students will display both next to the text box and also on top in red next to the “Selected Students” tab.

You may also filter by more options than the student name. To select either by a specific grade, class, or user-defined group just select one of the “Filter By” options. Clicking the checkbox next to the filter you want to activate will reveal a box that you can click on and start filtering.

In the example above we have selected the grade “Kindergarten.” As you select filters the showing student results will change. You can also select multiple grades, classes, and groups with different combinations at once.

To remove all filters, at any time you may click the “Reset Filters” button at the bottom of the filter options. This button only appears when there are filters being applied.

Let’s migrate over to view our selected students. Click on the “Selected Students” tab near the top.

Here you can perform many actions on the selected students. You can get started performing actions by selecting the down arrow next to the “Actions” button.

Students can also be saved to a user-defined (defined by you) group for easier selecting later on. Simply click on “Save to Group” to do this. Then fill out the group name and hit “Save”. If you would like to add or delete students from this group, you can simply add or remove students to the group, and then again click Save to Group and save it as a group with the same name.

To manage saved groups simply click on “Manage Groups” in the actions menu. Here you can see all saved groups at a glance and delete groups that aren’t necessary anymore.

Finally, to deselect all students simply click on the “Deselect all students” button. Individual students can also be deselected by clicking on the little box with the check to the left of the student’s name.
