Create a new bell

Select Schedule Bell

You will see the following form pop up.

The following steps explain how to fill out the above form.

  1. Select a bell tone either by selecting from one of our pre-set tones or by selecting Upload your own and selecting a tone from your Local Computer. We accept both MP3 and WAV format for bell tone files. To preview one of our pre-set tones, press the tiny blue play button to the right of the tone selection box.

  2.  Volume - Set the volume of the bell that will play. The volume is set as a percent in the range of 0% to 200% with 100% being normal volume.

  3. Repeat - This represents how many times the time will repeat in a row. Bell tones are often short clips of chimes. These short chime clips can be chained together  using the repeat option to make longer bells For example, a single ding noise can be repeated three times in a row to make a bell that sounds like somebody dinging a chime thrice.

  4. Repeat Delay - This affects the above delay between each repeat that is set above. As in the above example of the ding noise, between each repeated ding will be this amount of silence in milliseconds of the number set here. Note that there are 1000 milliseconds in 1 second.

  5.  Time & Days of Week - Here you can set the time of day and the days of the week that the bell will play.

Once all of these options are set, by clicking on Create you will create and schedule the bell on the selected Sonarcloud device.

Alternatively, you may sample the fully created bell and what it would sound like on the currently selected PA System by clicking on Test On Device. After a brief delay, the bell will be created and sent to your Sonarcloud device immediately to play over the PA System.
